You must have a Commercial Driver’s License, or CDL license, for many jobs that involve driving large vehicles over the highways of the USA, Including, tractor trailer driver, delivery truck driver, school bus driver, dump truck driver, chartered bus driver, etc. These jobs involve a lot of responsibility and liability, often including the lives of many people. The CDL license program, produced minimum standards a person must meet before being able to get approval to drive commercial vehicles. To obtain a CDL, you’ll need to pass a two part test, the road CDL test, where you take a truck out on the road and demonstrate that you’re capable of operating it and backing and parking safely,But first you will take a written test, which many people find harder than the actual driving test.

The state that you take the cdl drivers license in determines the cost and that varies from state to state, you need to check with your Department of Motor Vehicles for the cost. In addition to the written general CDL test, there are also several other cdl endorsement tests you will be required to take if you want to add them to your cdl license. Such as the HazMat endorsement, which you need if you want to be able to haul containers of hazardous materials. The air brakes test if you will be driving a truck with air brakes (which most all big truckes have). Other endorsement tests are required for pulling double and triple trailers, carrying passengers, tanker truck or trailers. By taking these practice tests as many times as it takes to get a good score, you will greatly improve your chances of passing the actual tests.
